In September, 2001 Dr. Bares became President and Executive Director of the Memphis Bioworks Foundation. Prior to this position, Dr. Bares served in a series of Executive roles at International Paper. He is also the co-founder of the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, Tennessee's first Charter School.
