Power Center Academy (PCA) began operation in August of 2008, serving 125 students in grade 6. By its 3rd year, PCA will serve 400 students in grades 6 through 8. The mission of the PCA is to develop future leaders of the community by teaching students to be innovative thinkers, problem solvers and humanitarians. PCA will achieve this mission by providing its students with an educational program that is defined by rigorous curriculum standards to ensure that all students meet or exceed local, state and national academic standards. PCA will fulfill its mission by also integrating entrepreneurial projects in financial literacy and community service, in an effort to give its students the tools to excel in financial responsibility. PCA will further support its students' success by establishing both a supportive learning community and effective partnerships with parents, grounded in higher technology.
